Project Description

We estimate that the Netherlands alone uses and discards approximately 2,000,0000 (yes 2 million!) disposable cups every day contributing approximately 142,000kgs of CO2. There must be a better way, a way that you- as coffee drinkers- can make a positive societal and environmental impact each time you drink your coffee to-go. That's why we're working on the Circular Coffee Project, to transform coffee to-go systems with a circular solution, using a cup made from coffee waste. We offer a service to cafes who want to reduce the cost and environmental burden of disposable cups and are in the process of developing a solution that is just as 'think-less' as buying coffee in the morning.

Success Story

While the Circular Coffee Project solution is still going through development, early testing has been positive and we have already displaced 87 disposable cups- saving an estimated €14 from the cost of purchasing disposables and 6.2kgs of CO2 (Greenhouse Gas Emissions) from their production-use-disposal. Fighting climate change requires collective action, so wherever you see the Circular Coffee Project or our 'TuGo' cup- remember to "Return - Reward - ReUse" so that together we can make a positive impact and address climate change.
